Super-Easy Print Poetry Card

Easy Print Poetry Card

While I love making handmade cards, and often spend quite a bit of time making each one, sometimes it is really great to make a card that takes practically NO time at all.

This Super-Easy Print Poetry Card, as I am calling it, took me about 5 minutes.  I think the trick is in the punches and coordinating designer series paper!  I only spend a short time deciding which paper to punch out with the Postage Punch, then simply used a coordinating ink color (Raspberry Ripple) to stamp the sentiment.  I originally stamped the “thinking of you” on the front of the card – then decided at the last minute to punch it out with the Modern Label Punch and re-stamped the sentiment on the inside, for a little something extra on this otherwise simple card.

I didn’t even use Stampin’ Dimensionals on this card! Here’s what I did use:

Best Dad Ever clear mount stamp set, Very Vanilla card stock, Print Poetry designer series paper stack (Spring Mini Catalog!), Raspberry Ripple Classic Ink, Postage Stamp punch, Modern Label punch, 3/16″ Corner Rounder punch, and SNAIL Adhesive.

What’s great about this card is you can use any designer series paper and card stock you have in your stash.  Stampin’ Up! has such great paper patterns and coordinating ink colors to make it Super-Easy!

Happy (Simple) Stamping!

“Buttons & Bows” Sweet Sale-A-Bration Cards

Sale-A-Bration is in full swing, and I am having SO much fun making projects with the FREE goodies!

SAB2013-Card1
My sister and I made these matching cards the other day, and I just had to share them! They are super-simple, but oh-so-sweet!

We used the Sycamore Street designer series paper, Pool Party card stock for the card bases, and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiments. Elaina made her card for Mother’s Day, and used the Tangerine Tango ribbon from the ribbon & button pack. I made a “friend” card and put a trio of the buttons on my card, along with some bling – the Rhinestone jewels.

I hope you enjoy these cards. I’ve got more coming in the next month & a half as we continue to celebrate Sale-A-Bration!  Contact me TODAY if you need a Sale-A-Bration brochure, or want to schedule a girls night to play with all these fun products!

Happy Sale-A-Brating!

CASE the Catty – Thinking of You Card

Soft Suede Always Artichoke scored Thinking of You cards

Next week I will be posting about the new Borders Scoring Plate for the Simply Scored Tool.  Today I'm posting a project I made using the zig-zag pattern on the plate.  I've CASEd (copy & steal) this card from a recent sample in the Stampin' Success magazine (a demonstrator-only resource – LOVE IT!)

Because it can sometimes be a challenge to make "masculine" cards for the men in our lives, I decided to use colors and patterns to fit the bill.  Soft Suede and Always Artichoke card stock, together with their coordinating ink colors made this project super-simple but still with quite an impact.

I also used the NEW Ovals Collection Framelits featured in the current Spring Mini Catalog.

Here's my full list of supplies:

Stamps: Best Dad Ever (120399 wood, 120681 clear mount), Gently Falling (123802 wood, 123804 clear mount)

Ink: Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad (126978), Always Artichoke Classic Stampin' Pad (126972)

Card Stock: Soft Suede (115318), Always Artichoke (105119), Whisper White (100730)

Accessories: retired buttons, sub either Neutrals Designer Buttons (119743) or Silver Buttons (129325), Linen Thread (104199), SNAIL Adhesive (104332), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), Glue Dots (103683)

Tools: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (113439), Ovals Collection Framelits (129381), Simply Scored Tool (122334), Borders Scoring Plate (126192), Stamping Sponges (101610)

I hope you'll give the Borders Scoring Plate and the Simply Scored Tool a try. Come back Monday for some more information about these tools! I've loved having them as part of my crafting arsenal and I think you will, too!

Happy (Scoring) and Stamping!
