Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #3: Switch Easily Between Projects / Work on Projects in Any Amount of Time You Have Available

We’ve talked about the mess than can be created with traditional scrapbooking and crafting. Imagine your craft area in its messiest state, and then imagine trying to quickly change to a different project using all new supplies. PHEW! I cannot even wrap my mind around that scenario!

When I’m using My Digital Studio, I easily switch back and forth between projects. The program even reminds me to save my work before I switch! Because I have some days where my focus is a little less, um, focused, being able to change projects so simple is really a great feature!

In addition, sometimes you may have only 20 minutes to accomplish something, which is easy with MDS. You may not be able to complete a scrapbook album in 20 minutes, but you can definitely get something done in that amount of time.

Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #4: Change Photos to Any Size, Shape, Color, Zoom, etc.

You’re a scrapbooker. You’ve got TONS of photos. These days, your photos are probably on your computer, waiting to be printed. Am I right? Or, if you are organized enough to print them on a regular basis… how much room do these photos take up in your home?

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ever print your photos. But if you are using My Digital Studio to do your scrapbooking, then let me save you a step. Drag and drop your photos into your pages & albums. Crop, resize, zoom, change to black & white. Then print your pages or albums, already completed!

If you already use the MDS software, let me know in the comments what you’ve created! If you haven’t tried the software yet, plan to attend my FREE “Getting Started with My Digital Studio” class on November 7th. We’ll cover the basics of the program, and you’ll leave feeling confident about using the software. I promise it’s easy! Email me here to RSVP or ask any questions.

[Series] 8 Great Reasons to Use My Digital Studio: 1 & 2

I’m excited to be starting a new blog series for you today; I’ve come up with my 8 favorite reasons to use My Digital Studio for scrapbooking and other crafts. Today I’m sharing reasons 1 & 2 for you. You’ll have to come back for more!

Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #1: Using My Digital Studio Can Be Less Expensive

If you are a traditional scrapbooker, you know how quickly costs can add up. Think about all of the great papers and embellishments you just had to have. If you are like me, you’ve used a fraction of your “had to have” supplies! Perhaps you needed one flower trinket, but it came in a package of 10.

For $19.95 for My Digital Studio, loaded with lots of content, you’ll never have to feel like you’ve spent too much money again. Every single piece of content included in the software can be used over and over and over again! Included in the software: stamp brush sets, designer series papers & card stock in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, punch & die shapes, and many already designed templates so you can hit the ground running!

Great Reason to Use My Digital Studio #2: Using My Digital Studio Is Less Messy / Easier to Clean Up

“I’m just going to work on this simple scrapbook page for a while.” An hour later, and your work area looks like a scrapbook store exploded! I know you know what I’m talking about! When I want to do some crafting, I frequently have to spend a fair amount of time straightening up my craft area first. It can be frustrating!

My Digital Studio to the rescue! When I’m working on an MDS project, do you know what’s on my desk? My computer, a note pad, and a pen. I use the pad and pen to make notes (on some projects) but most everything I need is on my computer. And clean up is simple; I close the program when I’m done!

Save the date and plan to attend my FREE “Getting Started with MDS” class on Friday, November 7th. If you are local to me and plan to attend, email me to RSVP by November 4th. The sooner you RSVP the better, however. I’m closing registration at 8 attendees! If you aren’t local but are interested in learning about MDS, send me an email. I’ll plan to do an online version of the class (without the fabulous make & take projects) if enough of you are interested!

My First Day – MDS printable from Stampin’ Up!

My baby started Kindergarten!

One week ago, my son Liam started kindergarten! Of course I took a ton of pictures, including some with this sign! I used the My First Day printable from Stampin’ Up! (MDS download) just like last year. I just changed the school, the grade, and his teacher’s name. I printed this one at home, so the sign colors aren’t as good as if I had them printed online. I didn’t find out his teacher’s name in time to send this off for printing!

This is my new favorite thing to do in MDS (besides scrapbooking!) – I find cards I love, on Pinterest or other sources, and I recreate them in My Digital Studio!

I’m terrible about keeping track of where my original card ideas are from, but I do know that all three cards above were Pinterest finds, and were made by other demonstrators. I simply searched for Sale-A-Bration and/or Sweet Sorbet designer paper.

These cards featured here I loved so much that I’ve even had them printed using Stampin’ Up!’s MDS printer. They turned out great!
