Spotlight on Sale-A-Bration: Good as Gold Simply Sent Kit

Good as Gold card kit - Visit http://www.mirrorimagecrafts.com for details and more projects!

In this “Spotlight on Sale-A-Bration” I wanted to share what I’ve done with my Good as Gold Simply Sent card kit.

The kit comes with supplies to create 8 cards and instructions on how to put them together. The idea behind this kit is that all 8 cards end up looking basically the same, just with different colors and sentiments.

Instead of just following the suggested card idea, I created 8 different cards with my kit, by essentially using only what is in the kit. I did add some twine from another Sale-A-Bration item for one of the cards, but you certainly don’t have to!

And I still have some gold elastic cord and Bermuda Bay baker’s twine left over, as well as a few die-cuts and gold foil!

COMMENT below or on my Facebook page, and I’ll send you a PDF handout with individual photos ALL 8 cards I made using this kit.

Don’t miss out on the Good as Gold Simply Sent card kit! It can be yours for FREE with a qualifying order, but only during Sale-A-Bration 2014!

BONUS: My digital version of this card kit!

[Time Sensitive] Best of Butterflies Sympathy Card

Best of Butterflies afternoon picnic sympathy card - Visit http://www.mirrorimagecrafts.com for details and more projects!

Why is this post “time sensitive?” Because the Best of Butterflies stamp set I used is only available for one more week!

March 31, 2014 is the last day to purchase ANY of the “Best of Stampin’ Up!” stamp sets, so don’t miss out!

For the card above, I used the lovely Afternoon Picnic designer series paper, some Linen Thread, and a Pearl Jewel. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set.

CASE = Copy And Steal Everything

This is my new favorite thing to do in MDS (besides scrapbooking!) – I find cards I love, on Pinterest or other sources, and I recreate them in My Digital Studio!

I’m terrible about keeping track of where my original card ideas are from, but I do know that all three cards above were Pinterest finds, and were made by other demonstrators. I simply searched for Sale-A-Bration and/or Sweet Sorbet designer paper.

These cards featured here I loved so much that I’ve even had them printed using Stampin’ Up!’s MDS printer. They turned out great!

Perfect Blend Coffee Treat Cup Cards

Coffee Bean Perfect Blend treat cup cards - Visit http://www.mirrorimagecrafts.com for details and more projects!I was recently going through my Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog just to find project ideas or remind me to use items I haven’t used much lately. Well, this strategy worked! I found my Sweet Treat Cups and got to work!

I’m pretty excited about this card. After all, it’s not that often that a card comes right out of my brain, without help from outside sources!

We love coffee in my house, and I have recently fallen in love with the Perfect Blend stamp set, so I knew what I had to do! I raided my kitchen for the coffee beans. I stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set on the Crumb Cake background before embossing with the Decorative Dots embossing folder (available during Sale-A-Bration, but carrying over to next year’s catalog!) I used my 1-3/4″ Circle Punch to punch through the Crumb Cake card stock and banner made using the Epic Day designer series paper. I even used the Crumb Cake circle scraps to stamp my sentiments on each card!

I love the look of the card, which is perfect for a man or woman who loves coffee. But even more, I love having these cards sitting on my desk – I can totally smell the coffee through the treat cups!
